an oral project on the topic of travel that the students of 2º BAC-A
and B were engaged in last month. The purpose was to convince
travellers to book their holidays in different destinations around the
world. The students had to work in groups, one for each continent, and the
winners got an extra bonus for their effort.

Here is a new project for the class of 2º BACH-A, the last oral activity this year. The task consists in recording a series of TV commercials, because the lesson that the students are working on right now deals with advertising and marketing. They can use any objects they want to convince people to buy them. Let's see if they can convince you!

This project is part of the oral activities that the students of 2º BAC-A have been doing in the second term. They used a programme called Voicethread, which allowed them to record videos with comments on the topic they were assigned. In this case, they were supposed to give information about different countries around the world to attract travellers to those particular destinations. If you are a tourist or intend to be one, we advise you to check out this presentation before you book your holidays.

The following document is four pages long. It is a compilation of the transformations that appeared in the 2009-2011 university entrance (PAAU) exams in Galicia. You can download or copy and paste it on Word. Remember that some sentences can be done in two or more different ways. The sixteen transformations of the 2012 exams are not included in the previous file because we have already seen them in class. You should also go over the rest of the exercises that we have done throughout the year, especially the vocabulary related with justice and the compound nouns in unit 4.

PLAY-ACTING A MOVIE SCENE
Hi there! I guess you have already decided what scene you are going to play by now, but in case you haven't, you ought to check this out. It contains a selection of five movie classics that may help you make up your mind and improve your acting skills as well.
Of course no one expects you to become an Oscar nominee, but perhaps you can settle for a lower standard, like trying to win the best actor/actress-of-the-class award. How do you think Marlon Brando or Meryl Streep started their careers? It's all a matter of belief. Once you are set for it, only the sky is the limit.
